- - People’s Trust for Endangered Species was set up in 1977 to save our wildlife. We are governed by a board of volunteer trustees and our team of staff are passionate about protecting endangered species and places.

Wildlife surveys

You don't have to be an expert to take part in one of our surveys. Looking out for animals and changes in their habitats is fun, connects you with nature and the information you share gives us a real insight into how our wildlife is doing.

'Living with Mammals and the National Water Vole Monitoring Programme are excellent opportunities to bring structure and focus for self-development from a casual awareness of field signs towards greater confidence and competence … I learnt so much about the local activity patterns of foxes, roe deer and rabbits’, A Watson, volunteer surveyor.
