The Great Stag Hunt 2018
The end of July sees the end of the peak season for stag beetles in the South of England. Most of the adults will now have mated and the eggs have been laid ready for the next generation to begin. The adults might not live long but the larvae can live up to 7 years feeding underground on dead wood.
This year we have had over 8000 records submitted to the great stag hunt. Here are just some of our favourite images from 2018!
