Mathern Mill Apple Day

October 12, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Mathern Mill is a grade 2* listed watermill whose history can be traced back to at least 1571. On our last open day this year we are celebrating the long history of cider making at the Mill with apple pressing. If you would like to join in bring about a dozen apples and a container for the juice.
As always you can discover how the mill worked, see the original Victorian machinery and find out about the lives of the people who lived and worked in it.
There are things to see and many stories to tell, including the fateful events which occurred during cider making in 1884! We have activities to entertain children and “appley” refreshments.
Find us at NP16 6LG. Entry is FREE,
