Acorn Bank – Apple Identification Day

Apple varietiesAcorn Bank is hosting an Apple Identification Day where experts will be helping visitors discover more about apples growing in their garden.
On the 12 October, apple experts from across the North of England will be at the National Trust site in Temple Sowerby to help visitors identify their apple trees.
“Lots of people have a mystery apple tree in their garden. This is a popular opportunity to put a name to the tree and find out about the variety’s history,” says Heather Birkett, Senior Gardener at Acorn Bank.
From 11am to 4pm experts will not only be helping identify mystery apples but also advising on how to care for the varieties brought in.
The event is free of charge and there is no maximum number of apples that can be identified.
