- - People’s Trust for Endangered Species was set up in 1977 to save our wildlife. We are governed by a board of volunteer trustees and our team of staff are passionate about protecting endangered species and places.

Planning and development

We’re often asked about planning decisions, how to object to them and how to influence them. Unfortunately, we don’t have the staff resource or the funding to personalise responses to most planning applications, but with the guidance on our website, you should be able to help the wildlife in your local area ptes.org/planning-development-and-biodiversity/.

Please see our dedicated project pages for help and information ptes.org/campaigns/. If you’ve found a hedgehog that you’re concerned about please call our partners The British Hedgehog Preservation Society (BHPS) for welfare advice on 01584 890 801.
