Garden wildlife appeal

Make your donation

Will you help save Britain’s wildlife?

During this uncertain time, we hope you’re managing to find some peace at home. We completely understand that most people are choosing to donate to the front-line charities, quite rightly. But we must continue to help wildlife where we can. Any donation you can spare will help us conserve the wildlife around us. Our gardens are places where we can continue to make an impact. In return for your donation, we will send you one of our special Wildlife Friendly Garden kits, to take this opportunity to make your garden a wildlife haven and reconnect with nature.

The biggest challenge for wild animals today is finding safe places to live. As cities expand and farming intensifies, green spaces are rapidly disappearing, leaving animals with fewer places to inhabit. But despite this, many animals, from hedgehogs and badgers to bees and bats, can thrive in developed areas in close proximity to people. Our gardens can act as havens for wildlife, providing both food and shelter. Wildlife that was once common in Britain is now sadly declining, but together we can change that.

In the UK, at least ten native mammals are classified as threatened and face a high risk of extinction.

There are lots of small changes we can make that have a big impact, from making a feeding station for hedgehogs to building a small pond for amphibians. Such simple actions in our gardens can give the most threatened species the chance of survival. It’s beneficial for us to have wildlife in our garden too, and I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s wonderful to see wildlife sharing our spaces.
