Business partnerships

Are you a business? Do you want to make a positive impact on the environment? Team up with People’s Trust for Endangered Species to make a difference for wildlife. We’re the only national organisation that spear-heads critical research, develops public-engagement campaigns and implements conservation on the ground. Hedgehogs, traditional orchards, hedgerows, hazel dormice and ancient woodlands all benefit from our work.

Becoming one of our corporate partners will send a public message about your commitment to wildlife. You can position your business as an organisation that is both socially aware and takes responsibility for its impact on the world as seriously as we do. Your philanthropy can fund specific conservation projects while reaching an audience of over 300,000 supporters.

As well as championing familiar animals, PTES has a long history of supporting less well-known species and habitats in all corners of the globe. We’re not just protecting endangered species, we’re investing in grassroots organisations and leaders who live and work within the communities and alongside the species they’re trying to save. With our help, they stand the best chance of making a real difference.

As a small organisation we’re able to act swiftly, getting funds where they’re needed most. We’ve helped conservationists establish their own NGOs in the countries they’re from which ensures they’re embedded in the regions they’re working in, employing local people and, critically, can ensure a future for endangered species. We continue to work with projects until they’ve outgrown us and can support themselves. By partnering with us today, you can be confident that your support will be used where it will have the biggest impact for wildlife.

Animex

”Animex Bridge is the UK’s only proven dormouse bridge, used to reconnect habitat across roads or gaps for dormice. At Animex International we focus on science-based mitigation solutions and making sure our mitigation products are best suited for the animals. The original dormouse bridge design was developed in collaboration with PTES in 2015 and successfully trialled in 2016 on the Isle of Wight.

Since the initial trial, we have upgraded the materials to meet road authority requirements and we now have several commercial Animex bridges on roads and motorways in the UK with several more on the way. These bridges are very important for connecting dormouse populations where it’s not possible to create habitat and we’re very proud to continue to work closely with PTES on this initiative.

For each bridge sold, Animex Bridge also donates 10% to PTES to support conservation. We’re thrilled to partner with PTES because the work they do in conservation and monitoring of dormice and other wildlife is so important to the survival of these species!”

Seedball

We’re proud to be partnered with Seedball with an exclusive PTES tin: Hedgehog Mix!

While hedgehog numbers decline across the UK, we can all do something to help by growing British wildflowers! A wildflower patch is a great addition to creating a hedgehog-friendly garden, not only does it provide shelter to hedgehogs but it also attracts a range of tasty insects for hedgehogs to feed on.

For every Hedgehog Mix tin sold, we receive a kind donation towards our conservation work. Each tin contains 20 seed balls, enough to cover 1 metre square in a garden bed or 3-5 medium-sized pots, and each seed ball contains approximately 30 seeds from a mix of Yellow Rattle, Wild Carrot, Birdsfoot Trefoil, Tufted Vetch, Self Heal and Poppy.

Kate Priestman Art

We’re delighted to be partnering with graphite artist, Kate Priestman. Kate is a wildlife artist, ecologist and writer. The natural world and the issues surrounding its conservation captivated Kate from a young age and continue to inspire Kate’s artwork today.

Kate explains why she is excited to join this partnership: “As a wildlife artist with a passion for nature conservation, I’m delighted to support the vital work PTES undertakes to help conserve endangered wildlife in Britain and around the world.”

Wildcare

Wildcare sells and rents wildlife products and surveying equipment to ecologists, wildlife enthusiasts, educational bodies and conservationists. Their products include wildlife fencing, bird boxes, bat detectors and bee bricks, among many others. We work with Wildcare to distribute dormouse footprint tunnels.

For every dormouse footprint tunnel sold, they generously donate a portion of the proceeds to our dormouse conservation work.

Penel Kirk

After completing an Art Foundation course and degree in Fashion and Textiles, Penel worked as a textile designer in London, New York, Hong Kong, India and Melbourne before finally setting up her own art studio. With a passion for wildlife, she now raises money for wildlife conservation through sales of her original artwork and limited edition prints.

”As a wildlife artist I feel passionately that through my work I can help to highlight the plight of the thousands of species now endangered by climate change and the human destruction of their habits.”

Amy Turrell Illustration

Amy Turrell Illustration is a small, independent business, run from Amy’s home in Manchester, UK. She is a self-taught artist who paints animals – mainly British wildlife – by hand and then turns them into greetings cards.

Amy focuses on being as eco-friendly as possible, reducing waste, utilising responsibly sourced materials and choosing suppliers who do the same (the printing company she uses has a solar powered factory and carbon neutral presses!). The cards are printed with vegan ink onto recycled and sustainably sourced papers, and all packaging is plastic and microplastic free – right down to the glue on the stickers and packing tape.

Amy’s cards can be found on sale in multiple sustainable living shops as well as animal charities and parks. Amy kindly makes a donation to PTES’ dormouse conservation work through the sale of her Sleepy Dormouse cards.
