Urban Harvest in Stanmore

September 15, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

Calling all you wonderful apple picking volunteers! We urgently need help to harvest apples from a stunning traditional orchard in the grounds of the Royal National Orthopaedic Hosptial.

On this one day workshop you will:

  • Get the practical experience of harvesting fruit
  • Taste a range of fruit varieties
  • Help community orchards in London to harvest their fruit and stop it going to waste

All the apples picked will be made into London Dry Cider & Apple Juice at our Local Fox HQ in Walthamstow. The cider & juice is then shared back with the orchard or the equivalent value given back in tools, training, and expertise to help them look after their trees. Find out more about our drinks here

It’s useful to know…

  • The training will be outdoors, so bring appropriate clothing and a packed lunch
  • Advanced booking includes some refreshments and a handout
