Chadlington Apple Day

September 28, 2019

Chadlington and the surrounding local villages are abound with a vast array of apple varieties. From large private orchards down to the odd apple tree in the garden. And we take Chadlington Apple Day very seriously. With the help of our wonderful headline sponsors Burford Garden Company and Wychwoods Estate Agents, and partnerships with local organisations such as the Charlbury Sharecroppers Association we’ve been able to grow our apple obsession even more. From finding different and delectable ways to eat them, juice them, bob them, peel them, grow them, identify them, pick them or store them – we’ve got Apple Day covered in Chadlington.

Additionally we want to celebrate the Apple within the context of rural life in the Cotswolds. We will bring together stallholders, including a market stall from locally grown allotment vegetables, live music, hog roast and BBQ and of course be plenty of entertainment for children and adults alike from bouncy castle to the infamous jousting horse and community competitions galore.

So please come and help us celebrate our apples. It’s a fundraiser for Chadlington Playgroup, a registered charity that provides excellent pre-school care at affordable prices for local families from Chadlington and surrounding towns and villages. The event date changes from year but the location is the same – in and around Chadlington Memorial Hall with stunning views over the valley.
