- - People’s Trust for Endangered Species was set up in 1977 to save our wildlife. We are governed by a board of volunteer trustees and our team of staff are passionate about protecting endangered species and places.

This year’s Apple Day in the Ironbridge Gorge is on Saturday October 12th and promises to be another splendid event.

Last year the occasion attracted several hundred people and proved a wonderful celebration of our national fruit, and a lot of serious fun besides.

Apple pressing using the large community apple press, fresh juice for sale; hog roast, live music, apple display and apple trees for sale, cider bar, WI stalls, craft demonstrations and hands-on opportunities to practise polelathing, pottery, etc. Contact: 01952-433229 or 433880.
