Acorn Bank orchard – monthly Drop-in Days (training/advice)

An event every month that begins at 11:00 am on day Second of the month, repeating until December 14, 2019

On the second Saturday of each month, Orchard experts are working in the orchard. They are available to advise and teach visitors how to look after fruit trees and orchards between 11am and 3pm.

Normal admission applies, but no extra cost. 

14th September – Harvest Time

12th October – Apple Identification Day – bring your apples from home to find out if you have a heritage variety growing in your garden.

9th November – Community Juicing Day. 11am – 3pm. A joint event At Acorn Bank, run by Acorn Bank and North Cumbria Orchard Group. Bring apples from your garden to turn into juice. Please wash your apples at home first. Remember to bring plenty of clean bottles to take home the juice in.

14th December – Winter Pruning the fruit trees
