Leave a legacy to wildlife

Legacy gifts are used to act wherever the need is greatest and when speed is of the essence. Over a third of our charity's income comes from people like you who left a lasting legacy to continue protecting the wildlife that have brought them so much joy in their lifetime.

You can choose to leave a legacy to support our work worldwide or you can request that your gift is used specifically to support the conservation of Britain’s mammals.

With your support we will be able to stop our wildlife disappearing.

What your legacy gift could do

Thanks to the generosity of the hundreds of people who have remembered PTES in their wills we have achieved some truly amazing things.

Past legacies have allowed us to:

  • recruit over 44,000 hedgehog champions to create hedgehog-friendly neighbourhoods and commission urgent research to find out why they are declining so rapidly in our countryside.
  • buy and restore Briddlesford Woods, an internationally important ancient woodland on the Isle of Wight, and one of the last refuges in Britain for red squirrels and dormice.
  • set up a national monitoring scheme for water voles
