This is a popular opportunity to put a name to the tree and find out about the variety’s history\,” says Heather Birkett\, Senior Gardener at Acorn Bank.\nFrom 11am to 4pm experts will not only be helping identify mystery apples but also advising on how to care for the varieties brought in.\nThe event is free of charge and there is no maximum number of apples that can be identified. \n\n12th October 11am – 4pm\nNormal admission charges apply. DESCRIPTION:On the second Saturday of each month\, Orchard experts are working in the orchard. They are available to advise and teach visitors how to look after fruit trees and orchards between 11am and 3pm. \nNormal admission applies\, but no extra cost.  \n14th September – Harvest Time \n12th October – Apple Identification Day – bring your apples from home to find out if you have a heritage variety growing in your garden. \n9th November – Community Juicing Day. 11am – 3pm. A joint event At Acorn Bank\, run by Acorn Bank and North Cumbria Orchard Group. Bring apples from your garden to turn into juice. Please wash your apples at home first. Remember to bring plenty of clean bottles to take home the juice in. \n14th December – Winter Pruning the fruit trees
