DESCRIPTION:Book tickets now\nIt’s national moth night and this year’s theme is woodlands. \nJoin us for this special one-off evening event at our woodland reserve\, Briddlesford Woods on the Isle of Wight. Learn how to check moth traps set up throughout the woods and identify what creatures you find. Please note you must be confident at walking on rough ground in the dark using a torch. \nNB: This event may be postponed to Saturday 21st if the weather is unsuitable for moth trapping as we would want you to get the best sightings as possible. \nLeader: Isle of Wight moth expert Jim Baldwin. DESCRIPTION:Discover the wonderful world of our woodland butterflies on a guided walk. Our expert guides will lead you around our beautiful ancient woodland and help you learn how to identify a range of butterflies. July is the optimum time to see our woodland specialists White Admiral and Silver-washed Fritillary on the wing. \nYou can also learn about other rare woodland wildlife such as red squirrels and dormice from PTES staff.  \nLeader: Local butterfly expert and Regional Representative at British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) Jim Baldwin. Jim carries out wildlife surveys at Briddlesford on behalf of PTES.  \nItinerary: You will meet Jim in the woods at 11.00am. The event should finish by 1pm.
