By promoting staff engagement opportunities you’ll be helping to protect our natural world.
We can save our wildlife, but we can’t do it alone. We rely on thousands of volunteers to monitor British species and improve their surroundings for nature.
Our work really helps people to connect with their community and the outdoors – something any business can be proud to encourage. And your employees need only give a few hours of their time.
Take a look at our surveys page to find out how you and your employees can get involved.
Donations for Doers
Volunteers are so important to our work. However, a growing scheme called Donations for Doers makes them even more valuable. This scheme is based on you rewarding your staff by donating an amount to charity depending on how much of their spare time they have given up to help a good cause. Could you donate £1 – £15 for every hour or day that your employees volunteer for us?
Alternatively, would you consider matching your employees’ fundraising/donations to PTES to nurture a culture of charitable giving in your company?
Payroll giving is a simple and tax-efficient way for employees to support People’s Trust for Endangered Species. Offering payroll giving enhances your company’s reputation as a responsible employer.
You can help by promoting our work to staff and offering the option of donating to our charity directly from their salary. There is little additional work required from you. You may be able to consider any costs incurred in launching and promoting payroll giving as tax deductible expenses.
You can find more information here.
You can help us by supporting your employees in running events in the workplace or their community – such as an office bake-off – with the cake sales being donated to us or a sponsored fun run in the local park.
