- - People’s Trust for Endangered Species was set up in 1977 to save our wildlife. We are governed by a board of volunteer trustees and our team of staff are passionate about protecting endangered species and places.

Leicestershire Heritage Apple Project – There are about 100 kinds of apple in the collection so far, including all of the known Leicestershire apples. The group runs grafting courses and have Leicestershire apple trees for sale. They encourage tree guardians and promote community orchards. Community orchards in Leicestershire include, amongst others: Castle Hill Community Orchard, Anstey; Brock’s Hill Community Orchard, Oadby; Gilmorton Avenue Community Orchard, Leicester; Ratby Community Orchard; Donisthorpe Community Orchard.

Leicestershire Heritage Apple Project – There are about 100 kinds of apple in the collection so far, including all of the known Leicestershire apples. They have an astonishing variety. Most are not in the National Fruit Collection. The group has Leicestershire apple trees for sale.
