As the sun sets on 2017…

Home // News // As the sun sets on 2017…

The shortest day of the year will soon be upon us and we’re celebrating all the best bits of winter. Migrating birds arriving in their thousands, the feeling of fresh snow underfoot and an excuse to drink hot chocolate at the end of a wintry walk.

Of course one of the best things about winter is it is great for watching sunrises and sunsets. You don’t have to get up super early for the sunrise, the bare trees lend beautiful silhouettes and a sprinkling of mist or frost adds to the atmosphere.

To take us through the darkest months we ask you to share your inspiring photos of the winter sun and you brightened up our days with your submissions. We have deliberated and here is our top 9 photos.
